How much it costs
The Tesla Model 3 rents by the day, weekend or week - no hourly rates, no seasonal surcharges tacked on later.
- Day - €125 for 24 hours, 300 km included. Great for a "try before you commit" or a single day trip out of Prague and back.
- Weekend - €289, Friday 4pm to Sunday 8pm, 800 km included. This is what most people book - enough range for Vienna, Dresden or the Bohemian countryside.
- Week - €569, 7 days, 1,800 km included. Works well as a road trip across Central Europe, since charging along the way just works.
Need it longer than a week? Write me and we'll work out a rate together.
What's included
This isn't a base price with everything else billed as an add-on. Every rental includes:
- Full insurance with an excess - small dents are settled from the deposit, bigger damage goes through the insurer. Nothing is estimated "by eye" - it's all in the contract.
- A second driver, free - if you want to swap who's behind the wheel, that's not an extra charge.
- The Czech highway pass (vignette) - you can drive straight onto Czech motorways.
- Delivery anywhere in Prague - to your hotel, the airport, wherever suits you. No counter to queue at.
- A child seat on request - just ask ahead of time.
Kilometres beyond your package cost €0.20/km, though with 800 km on the weekend rate, most guests never come close. Payment works in EUR or CZK, by card or bank transfer - whichever is easier on your end.
Deposit and how return works
The deposit is €600, refundable, taken as a card pre-authorisation or transfer at handover. Return the car with at least 50% charge - if you don't quite make it, it's a flat €20 and I'll charge it myself. No sliding scale, no penalty per percentage point, just one clear rule set in advance.
Driving licence requirements
You need a valid driving licence, category B or your country's equivalent, and you must be at least 21 with two years of driving experience. If you're coming from outside the EU, bring your national licence together with an International Driving Permit (IDP) - US, UK, Canadian and Australian licences with an IDP all work fine. The contract itself is short and in English, and I'll walk you through it in person at handover, so you know exactly what you're signing before you drive off.
Planning to cross a border? Just mention it when you book - trips anywhere in the EU are fine, I only need to know in advance for insurance purposes.
How this compares to a traditional rental agency
Big agencies book you into "this car or a similar model in the same category" - what you actually get at the counter is a gamble, and insurance or extra kilometres are often billed separately. With me you get this exact Tesla Model 3, or nothing. I know it inside out, it's spotless for every rental, and I hand it over to you in person - no counter, no queue. Price, kilometres and deposit are fixed on the website up front, not negotiated on the spot depending on how badly you need a car that day. The other difference is charging and range - a petrol rental never makes you think about either, but with the Tesla I'll show you both at handover in a few minutes, whether it's your first EV or your fifth.
